Mavs Vs Celtics

Celtics take commanding 3-2 lead

Boston dominates Dallas in Game 5

Brown, Porzingis lead Celtics to 106-88 victory

The Boston Celtics took a commanding 3-2 lead in the NBA Finals on Monday night, dominating the Dallas Mavericks 106-88 at TD Garden Arena. Jaylen Brown led the way for Boston with 22 points, while Kristaps Porzingis added 20 off the bench.

The Celtics closed the first quarter on a 9-0 run and never looked back, leading by as many as 24 points in the second half. Dallas was unable to keep pace, shooting just 33.3% from the field and 23.1% from three-point range.

The Mavericks were also plagued by turnovers, committing 16 to Boston's 10. This led to a number of easy baskets for the Celtics, who were able to build a comfortable lead early on.

The Celtics will now have a chance to close out the series in Game 6 on Thursday night in Dallas. The Mavericks will need to find a way to improve their shooting and take better care of the ball if they want to extend the series to a seventh game.
